For the fifteenth consecutive year, the Association of Independent Spiritual Churches is sponsoring our annual Hoodoo Heritage Festival, and this year it will be our third VIRTUAL event! Join presenters Deborah Voith, Rev Jon Saint Germain, Papa Gee, Dr. Jeremy Weiss, Ramona Scott, Reverend James, Conjureman Ali, Heidi Holton, Clifford Low, Ms. Nikki Jean, Angela Marie Horner, Doc Murphy, Catherine Yronwode and other special guests for classes, hands-on workshops, and panel discussions in African-American folk magic, rootwork, and hoodoo. These classes will teach you practical tricks and tips to take your conjure work to a new level of confidence and knowledge. In addition to spell-casting, we also showcase the mystery and magic of worldwide folk religions. 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 Catherine Yronwode: Dolls and Effigies in the Hoodoo and Conjure Tradition Doll-babies, dollies, voodoo dolls, and poppets are names given to figural images intended to represent living beings upon whom a spell is to be cast or for whom spiritual work is to be performed. Doll magic is nearly universal, so understanding a brief overview of its history is a good place to start, after which you will receive instructions on how to make dolls from a wide variety of materials, how to link them to a subject, and how to work them so that, by sympathetic magic, what you do to the doll happens to the person in question. 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM Sunday, August 14, 2022 Papa Gee: Hex Appeal Cursing or crossing someone requires talent, commitment, and a dash of hate. But is jinxing someone always a bad thing? In this dark arts workshop we will cover baneful magic, removing troublesome people from your life, crossing up your enemies, exacting revenge, and how the art of the hex is sometimes considered to be a proactive form of protection work. To balance the light and dark, Papa Gee will also cover the ways to remove hexes and how to prevent them from coming back. Together we will craft a cursing bottle to toss your enemy "down the river." and he hosts a weekly podcast for prayers and education. He is an ordained minister,

Miss Michaele The proprietor of Hoodoo Foundry and pastor of
Aunt Caroline Dye Memorial Chapel in Willetts, California,
Miss Michaele is also the Chairwoman of the AIRR Pro Bono
Fund, which distributes free readings and rootwork to those in need.
She is the co-author of "Hoodoo Bible Magic."
Angela Marie Horner:
Angela Marie Horner discovered her gift for magic and dreaming true
while still a teen. She is a member of AIRR, works at the Lucky Mojo
Curio Company, and at Missionary Independent Spiritual Church,
where she gives readings, and serves as a Candle Deacon setting
lights for clients from around the world.
A graduate of the National Holistic Institute of Massage in
Petaluma, she is also a Certified Massage Therapist and health
educator, and a First aid / CPR instructor with the American Red
Cross, and has a long history of caregiving, both elder care and
diabetic care.
Dr. Jeremy Weiss:
Dr. Jeremy is a graduate of catherine yronwode's Hoodoo Rootwork
Correspondence Course, a member of Hoodoo Psychics and AIRR, and
a specialist in the crafting of amulet bowls, talismans. and charms.
He is the author of "Sefer Ha-Sheilat Sefer: Divination with the Seven
Biblical Prophetesses" and the provides readings and rootwork services
through his ministry at the Temple of Miriam the Prophetess.
Doc Murphy:
Doc Murphy hase a PhD in cultural anthropology with a specialization in world religions. The reading, rootwork and other cultural magics that she performs and coaches people in are derived from decades of spiritual and religious study, both academically and personally. She is ceaselessly passionate about the world's wisdom traditions.
Ms. Nikki Jean:
Ms. Nikki Jean is a natural intuitive, healer, and root worker. At an early age, she was able to sense and speak to spirits and energies with her ability further developing throughout her life. She now shares her gifts with others from a perspective of healing and by way of her tarot and oracle card readings.
